MICTU Conducts Train-the-Trainers ICT Skill-Up Programme.

The Management Information and Communication Technology Unit (MICTU) of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, successfully held a one-day Train-the-Trainers ICT Skill-Up Training at the MICTU Software Factory on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, as part of its efforts to enhance digital capacity across the institution.

The intensive session equipped selected trainers with practical skills on the effective utilization of the University Portal and CIRMS, including publication uploads to enhance institutional visibility and proper management of result uploads and moderation for accurate student records and seamless transcript processing.

Mr. Nonso Ofodile, Head of the Training Unit of the Directorate, along with other invited experts, assured the Director of their preparedness to deliver top-notch hands-on training.

The participants are now fully prepared to cascade this knowledge through hands-on training for Senior Officers, Examination Officers, Deans, and ICT Officers across faculties and departments, scheduled for Thursday, February 26th, 2026 (for Examination Officers and ICT Officers) and Friday, February 27th, 2026 (for Deans and HODs), further advancing the University’s drive toward digital excellence and operational efficiency, aligning with the Vice Chancellor’s core mandate.

The ICT Director, Prof. Ikechukwu E. Onyenwe, was present to oversee the training, reaffirming the University’s commitment to building a digitally empowered workforce.
